Why we Can Let Some People Tell us Things, but Others No Way? - (6117)

Why that difference? How is it that we can accept some statements or implications from certain people but others say the same thing and we get upset?

It feels mysterious as to why we can't accept some 'words' from certain individuals but from other individuals we can. We find ourselves say: "What is it about that person that just triggers me so much?".

It is said though that nothing is mysterious with the psyche, there is a reason for everything. The reason why resides in the fact that we have an accumulated history with that person that has developed a concept or belief about them.

It is really that belief that makes it so difficult for us to accept 'words' from them.

There is the concept which is a tough one to get over then there is the implication of the concept, which in many cases can be even more difficult to get over. So there is a double concept or belief at play, which is why we get so triggered into an upset state.

Let's see an example.

Because of the concept that a person is inferior, due to having less experience, due to the perception that they speak with their ego and haven't really experienced what are saying, that they are trying to take control, that they have less experience, that they are not living what they are preaching and so on and so on. Then for us to listen to them or take into account what they are saying, it is to accept the implication that we are below them and we think that we shouldn't be. So our reaction is rejection and conflict.

Consequently there is no wonder we get so triggered as they say. All due to the concepts and way of thinking that we have around that person or persons.

End (6117).

What is the Kundabuffer or Kundartiguador? - (405)

Introduction Gurdjieff and Master Samael spoke much about the Kundabuffer organ and a lot of what Master Samael said is pretty clear. This post is just about going over some of what he said. In the Quinto Evangelio, Master Samael also revealed many more details which do not appear in his books. Note, the Qunito Evangelio is a two tome compilation of transcriptions of many recordings of informal talks that Master Samael had with his students. English and Spanish Terms There are these two terms Kundartiguador and Kundabuffer which refer to the same thing. Kundartiguador is Spanish and Kundabuffer is English. I believe it was Gurdjieff who first introduced these terms in his book “Beelzebub’s Tales to his Grandson”. I believe “Beelzebub’s Tales to his Grandson” was not originally written in ether Spanish or English. So these terms Kundartiguador and Kundabuffer are translations where the word “Kunda” could not be translated and the ending "buffer" could b...

When We Speak Bad About Ourselves - Because of Self-Compassion - (2963)

Even Just Thinking Negative When we just even think, let alone speak about ourselves in a negative way, thinking things like: how we are really this and that bad and that is not at all what others see, that we are in capable, worth little, know nothing, can't do this and that, fail at this and that, a liar, a dreamer the list goes on... We can be 100% sure that self-compassion is behind this because pride by itself would never allow this.  In a case like this self-compassion taps into what pride hides from itself and others and exposes it. Feeling that it is doing job at ruining ourselves. Why It Does What It Does? Self-compassion does this sort of thing to avoid reprimand and to extract compassion from others. Self-compassion is about getting compassion for ourselves through others. It is set-up in relativity, using others as a reference point. Really the best thing that you can do for a person who is pitted against this ego is to ignore them, so that they can fa...

Embrace Motor Centre Lingo to Act - (6101)

To overcome the overthinking issue and the lamentation of not doing, we can use a key where we embrace the language of the motor centre. Before we do that we need to know the language of the motor centre. The language of the motor is action, it is doing. It is life in motion. It is starting, it is 'getting stuck into'  a task without reasoning.   "Get it done!" is the motto of the motor centre. "Let's find out!" is another. The motor centre modus operandi is not reasoning, that belongs to the intellect. So delaying and postponing is the intellect. It's not the motor centre. The motor centre is about doing. The more we just do something when we think of it or feel like no matter what the mind reasons (unless a very good physical reason) the more we are embracing the language of the motor centre.  Action without thinking. There has to be thinking but thinking aligned with doing, not thinking against doing. The motor is always doing. Not doing something...
