Retreat Post 24 – Scepticism and Fear - (616)

Disclaimer – Not Mine Only Notes

I have to stress that these words are my notes only. The thoughts and understanding behind them do not come from me but from the terrific missionaries that lead the various activities during the retreat.

Scepticism

Origin

Scepticism is the dislike of the light and esotericism that remarkably we loved once before but failed in or lost. This void or loss creates a resentment which turns into scepticism.

Scepticism and the Value of Trust

The values that we all carry within us must be exercised so then scepticism trusts and believes in matter and materialism instead of the spirit! Scepticism is always about trusting, it just trusts in material and materialism. The sceptic always believes in something, just not God.

Interesting Paradox

The more sceptical the person is, the more the person previously loved the light. Scepticism is fear really at its base. Because we know that trust in the wrong direction is fear.

Final Comments

Fear is about trusting a value more in us than in another person. Trust builds a bridge between others, whereas fear makes us to remain as a separate island, separated from others.

The trust that remains in us is objective. Trust that we put in the hands of others eventually gets worn out. All the values are inside a person. Trust is peace and harmony, learning to trust is the death of self-sufficiency.

End (615).
