Laws of Sacrifice and Falling - (2002)

Introduction

Sacrifice and falling are exact opposites.

Master Samael says that both of these laws exist: that of sacrifice and that of falling.

Sacrifice

Master Samael says that sacrifice is “the conscious choice of one good superior to another”. You can find this very beautiful and wise definition in his book the “Secret Doctrine of Anahuac”.

Awakening is also about being able to choose. Therefore sacrifice is present in the process of awakening.

Sacrifice is the means by which we ascend in the level of the Being and the means by which we make progress in the awakening of consciousness and in the death of the ego.

It is a law because it moves circumstances within and without. Our sacrifices are assigned a value and this is paid attention to by the Law.

Falling

Falling which is also a law Master Samael says, of which we have the very physical planetary expression in the force of gravity and the planetary esoteric expression in the processes of involution.

To fall is to choose that which has an inferior good to another. Which is the exact opposite of the law of sacrifice.

When anyone falls it is because they chose something that has an inferior value to something else. In the case of human beings in the work or not in the work a fall is always when something of our ethics, values, consciousness, Being etc. is dropped for something that has a far inferior value and even for something that does not have a real place or legitimate presence.

For example, we drop our consciousness for identification with an illusion. When we fall we give the wrong thing a higher value and we give the very wrong thing a place that it simply should not have and does not deserve to have!

Conclusion

That is why we ascend with sacrifice and that is why we need to make sacrifices so to reverse the falls that we have made in the past. In other words we need sacrifice, it is hard but we simply need it. If we had not fallen we would need less of it, but because there is such a long way to climb we need a lot of it. Makes sense right! Then let us make our wise sacrifices so as to climb up once again!

End (2002).
