Pride and Image - (2976)

Very tough stuff.

The ego of pride finds it pretty tough to endure when what we have in our image is being challenged.

going back in time, when at school being teenagers, we were called a coward, and we think we are tough, it is the ego of pride that suffers terribly and then gets us into trouble, all because we don't want to be seen by others as being a coward and further more we can't accept to our own selves that we could be a coward.


Sometimes it is hard to do a review of our image until it gets challenged. But when it is challenged can we accept the challenge of acceptance within ourselves? That is really where the tough stuff of courage comes into play. There are no values of our essence in activity when we react. To react is the way of pride and it is the cowardly way when seen from an internal point of view. Pride itself is too weak to accept within ourselves the various challenges against our image.

If we are able to accept the challenge within ourselves of accepting the various accusations we just by doing that neutralise to a large degree any reaction of pride to do with our image.

The person who is dead in their pride does not have the need to prove anything.

Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages. In this post, I have presented a few, that have come in handy at point or another. Just to give you a bit of context, the movie is about the crusades, where the French and English were trying to defend the “Holy City” – Jerusalem from Islamic occupation.
