"The Heat Makes You Cold" said the Snorkeling Dad - (3461)

There I was public holiday Labour Day Monday morning, at Trigg (there every Saturday and Sunday early mornings), sitting close to the water using the image of the vast stretch of Indian Ocean in front of me to quieten and expand my mind.

Then along came a father and his son. Both had goggles and a snorkel, and the father took the plunge and dived in and began snorkeling spotting some fish here and there and reporting them back to his son. The son was protesting saying: "Dad it's freezing, its too cold!" then Dad goes: "turn on the heater then! Its not cold when you go right in. its nice when you are in. Its the heat that makes you cold.".

That's always it I thought. The duality the contradictions is what pains us. entertaining the two opposites at the same time always brings friction, difficulties and unhappiness.

Go right in, take the plunge into dissolving an ego and the conflict, struggles will dissolve.

End (3461).
