That's a key try and try to get the mind quiet. You may not get anything while trying but perhaps while doing something and the mind just gets quieter the solution the inspiration, the idea, the conviction will arise. And there you go!
When the mind brings its stage and screen thoughts of problems, difficult circumstances, fights, pressures etc. present it with a solution and create a plan and you will see that the mind steps backwards and slips back stage.
Sometimes we look forward to the weekends adn sometimes not and sometimes it reverses compeltely. Why? Perhaps because of the states of mind that we experience.
