When a Thought is not Just a Thought (it seems) - [3745]

A thought is just a thought when it flies across the screen of our mind and goes leaving no mark.

Most of our thoughts are like that.

Eventhough a thought is still a thought we believe a thought to be more than that and this kind of thought makes us worry, get frightened, panic, suffer, get angry, get agitated etc.

A thought I am going to trip over, we dismiss in seconds as a crazy thought. But when it is to touch our emotion we get rattled.

A thought is more than a thought when it touches our emotions, making it very close to action. 

Eventhough it touches our emotions it is still a ruddy thought.


I find that I have to drill that down. When we decide to see these 'more than a thought' as just a thought some things change in us and we get a bit of separation happening. 

Give it a try! The thing that works in this is due to the fact that we have not considered those 'more thoughts" as just thoughts yet.

For example the thoughts that bring us pain, if we see them as just thoughts the pain that we feel would not be that intense we would brush it off. We though don’t see the painful thoughts as just that thoughts we see them as pain-reality. But who says pain-reality exists by itself and in and of itself? It doesn’t does really it needs us to exist so it is relative. 

A lot of what makes them more than just thoughts is that we believe in them. 

Still letting them go as thoughts helps a lot.

Don't Squash the Negative Thoughts Open the Door Instead - (3744)

When we have thoughts that worry us, or disturb us or cause us some angst we tend to do our best to squash them.

This tactic we think is good but it is not really.

We feel a lot of tension, the thoughts fight and don't seem to go away and we are ignoring something vital about the thoughts because we deny ourselves a certain comprehension which is that they are only thoughts. Plus just to add salt to the injury those thoughts will come back another day.

The best tactic is to open the door and let them go outside.


Do not resist them just impartially and calmly ket them go. Like when you let a fly out it just flies off. 

The best way to get rid of flies that have entered the house is not to fight them getting out the fly spray, accidentally spraying the cat's biscuits, the fruit bowl, the curtains and or using the fly swatter knocking over glass vases and statues and getting yelled at, but to let them go to a window and then open the window for them to fly out.  

Same with the thoughts.

Try this is, it will lead you to getting separation from them and give you the ability to see those negative thoughts as just thoughts.

Don't be Afraid of the Thoughts - (3740)

This has helped me very much!

If we are afraid of certain thoughts, I want to say straight away that that is not a good situation. Something can be done to fix that.


If we resist certain thoughts and we cringe trying to block them then that is an issue that I had and one which I see now as a lack of understanding about the nature of thoughts and also a lack of separation from the mind.

We are not the thoughts!

We have to understand this deeply. If we are the thoughts it would be so terrible. We can't be because we would be so scattered so many millions of different identities and people.

We are the one constant background awareness that sees, hears, observes, witnesses the thoughts unfolding in its own theatre - the theatre of consciousness.

A thought comes and goes. It can not do anything. A thought does not mean it will happen nor that we will do it nor that we have to do it.

A thought is a puff of air blown into our psychological space. Like a puff it dissipates quickly and can't be put together again once it dissipates.

Separate from the thoughts no matter how awful, violent, disastrous, embarrassing, antithetical, etc. by understanding them as thoughts only, we are not them and so we don;t have to engage in them nor do we have to do them nor be scared about having them.

When we can separate from them we are not worried or scared of having them because we know they are not us and we have the full right to not feel the compulsion to follow them or do them.

The thoughts come from mechanical triggers, whose relevance is far left behind in time now and or the subconsciousness, which is very illogical and mixed up. 

The thoughts don't come from the consciousness which is us. Even if they did they are still only thoughts. They are suggestions but we chose, we have the right, they are only that: suggestions, concepts, ideas, images, words, they can't do anything to you and they are subjective they don;t represent the reality of whats happening! Don't believe me, then just hold the thought and wait for what is real!

Fantasy Posts: Addicted - (3741)

In some ways we are addicted to fantasy.

We use it as an addict would use drugs, alcohol, gambling etc. Basically for the reason of making us feel better. as a way to fill some void of unhappiness etc.

That is what makes staying clear of fantasy so difficult. There is a certain tendency to rebound back into fantasy.

That is why we really need to use the consciousness as much as possible to replace fantasy and implore the help of the Divine Mother to eliminate it, in the case of the particular ones.


We use it as a way to make us feel better about ourselves and about things that are going on but not going on in our lives.

In short it is used as a way of deceiving ourselves making us to believe that everything is all ok. The reason why we don't see the ego is due to fantasy.

It is used to substitute hard work, diligence, showing up, taking responsibility, courageous action and many other things that take time and require unseen effort.

It is also used by the mind and the ego to satisfy its gaps in not knowing and in completing unfulfilled desiring.

A Tear Drop of Gratitude for the Light - (3742)

Why are there times when receiving a talk or reading something that at the end of it we are full of gratitude? Maybe even a quiet secret tear begins to run...


The gratitude has to be the feeling of the essence.

It is like the yearning of the essence was answered so fully, so completely, so artfully, so wisely, so elegantly... Its thirst of wishing to know, to understand, to remedy was so fully quenched. 

A talk or passage that came to fit like a glove, crafted especially for our hands.

Leaving us clear to proceed. We know now what to do and how. What a relief when we have read, asked and listened to so many and have only got partially what we needed.

Many of us have had this experience now and then... The power of that knowledge resonating inside of us ringing true and true for all that we have seen in our life and inside of us.

It is a sign that there is something, someone, some force in there or out there helping us. There is a Divinity somewhere attentive to our essence's deepest yearnings and needs!

Even sometimes we don't know what our essence needs until one of these talks or passages drops down before us, igniting, unknown to us, that feeling of intense gratitude.

Fantasy Posts: Use Maturity - (3743)

In our combat against fantasy, maturity is a powerfully sharp weapon.

This is because much of fantasy is silly, petty and plainly about things that to a mature mind and heart are of little relevance and importance.


Invoking our maturity in the opportune moment of fantasy arising we can dismiss that fantasy.

It is a definite force in a person - our maturity. It can stop fantasy and many other silly psychological processes.

It is a reason in itself. Reason has psychological force.

Fantasy Posts: Try Again - (3737)

Fantasy really conditions our consciousness.

It is worth working on fantasy to free our consciousness more. 

The process of working on fantasy will also awaken the consciousness more.

Fantasy really fights back with fury. When we start working on it, we work intensely and we push our nature. Then if we don't reach a certain stability or balance in that work, the law of the pendulum acts to help reach that balance.


So we can swing back to the way we were before we started.

Nevermind, though it is time to start again, and all is not lost we have some experience and wisdom added to our belt which will help.

In many things of the work it is a matter of starting again and again. Trying and trying never giving up until we stabilize and advance further.

Alertness is the most important key followed by the understanding of why to work on fantasy then action - stop fantasy and transform it into consciousness, knowledge, insight, truth etc.

Connecting to Reality Gives Will Power - (3739)

We may be so upset feeling we lack will power.

Well it is not as hard as we think.

We mostly have no problem getting up to go to work in the morning do we?

This is because we are connected to a certain reality. 

That reality is that we have bills to pay, people to support, rent to pay, we need to eat... No one is going to deliver food at our door three times a day, no one will pay our bills, our co-workers can't be expected to do our work for us. It is hard reality that we need to work, so we get up! The will to get up, rush, drive, face stressful traffic, go to work etc. comes to us and we act.


The same thing spiritually, we lack will because we are not really connected to our psychological or spiritual reality.  we are not connected enough. 

Master Samael says that when someone experiences the illuminating void they become hot, very ardent and work furiously for the path. This is because they were connected to their esoteric reality.

So if we lack will power we must connect deeper to our psychological and esoteric reality.

One point of connection is to realise that time is running and if we don;t act to dissolve the ego we are going to be stuck with forever and to face that is disheartening and disappointing plus very painful.

Little Joyful Moments Matter Most - (3738)

When we practice mindfulness after a while we discover that what matters most in life are the small moments of joy, of wonder, of peace of bliss, of happiness, of awe, of love etc.


Why because they are what really connect us to life, to the real wonder of life...and what is beyond that the Being...

All thanks to our beautiful essence!

Defeatism: Poisoned Chalice - (3736)

This is a serious issue.

What is it really? What is defeatism?

We can define it intellectually, almost academically, but in the reality of the effects we feel due to it, we can say it is something like a poison.

Drinking it all up we like poison ourselves. We end up going against our own essence.

We, with our own hands, feet, body, mind and heart created the ego and if we created it we can undo it.

We have an interior divinity that has everything, will, power, intelligence, consciousness which is good enough to undo what it created. Why can't we do it if all that we need is there, just for us to use it.

Defeatism believes that we can't do it, that we won't make it, that we are unworthy, that we are not intelligent, enough, energetic enough, powerful enough, preserving enough and it goes on and on.

All these reason if we look at them are excuses, evasions, they are not real reasons, in truth putting those excuses aside we can certainly do something.

Don't drink from defeatism. Don't believe in it. It takes your faith, your power away.

Defeatism is a major causes of laziness. 

I mentioned in a previous post that laziness is about avoiding work. 

When we are lazy we avoid work because the defeatism in us makes us to not have any faith in that we can go to the path or work inn dissolving the ego or that we can transmute our energies.

Faith solves laziness.

Defeatism ribs us of faith and if we are robbed of faith we are robbed of power, which is mostly will.

Separating from defeatism and laziness we do something for our path and on our path even if we are married or not, old or young, well or unwell.

It is really wise to not even say that aloud or even think that we can't do the work. Don't say it to ourselves and don't say it to anyone. We have to get tough with this thing to send it far away from ourselves.

Panic Attack Cards on the Table - (3732)

Here is a post that may be helpful in diffusing a panic attack. 

Here goes.

With panic attacks there is that element of being scared of fear. Like we are scared of getting a panic attack. We fear the panic, like Winston Churchill said that there is only fear to fear.

It so happens to us, that being scared of a panic attack means our mind is remembering it and is thinking about it and this unfortunately calls it forward and makes it happen, and happen against our will.

The last thing that we want to happen is the onset of panic. But it happens.

Obviously we believe that a panic attack is negative, certainly because it feels really awful. But there are other reasons there too. Because it is socially unacceptable, embarrassing, unprofessional, image destroying, it is just not normal, it is weird, it is psychotic, it is plain scary and irrational, it is stupid and petty, it means we are a non-sense Gnostic etc. etc. 

In our mind that suffers from a panic attack some words like: "Ah no one cares really really, they will forget it when they go home to a nice dinner and fall asleep at night in their nice comfy bed feeling all nice and cosy in their skin, so if I am worried about what they think or feel and they are not worried then I'm not going to worry either so who cares!” Are quite useful.


But we can't say that can we, the consequences of what we are scared of are just too important to wipe away, forget about, disregard. 

The consequence of a panic attack may be serious like a pilot panics when landing and he is flying a plane full of passengers, but the trick is to in our mind fully disregard it, like make crash landing the plane not a problem in our mind, that is not a problem in the mind of the panicking ego. But physically we still fly and land the plane nicely and safely. Read on...

The trick is to mindfully and without resisting it call on the panic.

The panic is approaching, let it come, it is ok, let be like ocean waves crashing down then dissipating, ok ok...

When we do this the mind gets confused and then diffused. 

The mind says: "What! This possible consequence is not a big issue to him anymore? Then what, I've got nothing to do, no reason to provoke panic to make him alert to danger so to protect him from stuffing up or getting into trouble". Then it backs off.

By us opening it up in our mind and making it not a problem anymore. We make the unacceptable acceptable. Then fear has less and less of a reason to be present.

The trust comes in that we have to trust that it is all in our mind. That that the mind obeys the logic that if there is no danger or anything to worry about in its reason or its knowing then it will obey logic and back down. Our mind has reasons that a panic attack is terrible, when we void those reasons it has no reason to call it.

If we don't have mind we will perform totally well. We don't need the mind to jump the gun and to tell us about danger by making us scared, and panicked we have to trust more our essence than our mind. Our consciousness or essence can do any task better than our mind can. 

The pilot is not thinking of crash landing the plane and so it is not an issue in the mind and the mind does not react calling panic to make sure that does not happen. And the pilot lands the plane beautifully.

The Sloth Obstacle - (3733)

Laziness is a major obstacle.

It is also not what we commonly think it is either.

We think laziness is lying on the couch watching TV drinking and eating unhealthy food.

Its not really that, although it can manifest that way.

Laziness is all about avoiding spiritual work or work and it has many guises. 

Being overly active, distracted, full of excuses, talking and talking, negative habits, being sleepy, defeatism, pride: you work I'm a prince/princess etc. etc.

Still ugly if you ask me.

The remedy to laziness is faith. 

When we take a leap of faith and invest some effort to practice we get an result. We then measure the result and find that practicing gives results, then we believe or have faith in the teachings and our ability, then that faith naturally turns to confidence then that confidence turns to diligence, because we know that working will give results. 

You see all those diligent and industrious people in the world they believe in what they do. Whether it be material or spiritual results they have faith in that their efforts convert to results.

Monastery of Life - (3734)

I confess I could not stand anything to do with a monastery, be it Christian, Buddhist, orthodox you name it.

I was so happy receiving the "Four Ways" talk when I learnt that I didn't have to live in a monastery somewhere to walk the path back to God.

The catch is, the more one works on oneself the more one sees how much of a distraction life is.

One would progress in awakening and psychological work a lot more if one had big blocks of time at their disposal to use in meditation, prayer, contemplation on the consciousness etc. and a whole lot less to worry about like work, bills, food, house, car, people, internet, phone, family etc.


So one is in life, being tossed around by the forces of distraction and one is getting nowhere slowly.

The only resort is to make one's life a monastery. That is whatever one does, make it into a practice that will serve the improvement of awakening and the furthering of our psychological transformations.

Driving, typing, talking, walking, bus riding, cat feeding, meal preparation, fire lighting, eating, reading, texting... all have to become a practice. That way we begin to live in a monastery called life.

Of course the main idea of a monastery is isolation from life. So we have to create that isolation not with a physical building and community but within ourselves using practices done with our consciousness.

Being is Flexible with Our Mistakes - (3735)

This post is to aid our understanding, not to justify our egoic actions or processes.

This year the head of the Gnostic Society was giving a talk and he said that the Being of everyone is flexible with us. 

That is flexible with our mistakes and errors.


If that were not the case we may not be able to progress along the path towards the Being.

The Being may just get too disappointment and abort using us to realise Itself.

In being flexible the Being has to be patient and wise, knowing what can be done to remedy certain errors and knowing how to make us to walk safely being very imperfect.

Anxiety Jingle Bells - (3730)

Trust

It is like anxiety Christmas, just now, like a lot of people are feeling anxious lately. 

We know that the antidote for fear, anxiety panic etc. is trust.

The trick is always to know how to apply it.

In the case of anxiety and panic there are two cases. One with karmic loading and one without.

We have to apply trust in both cases differently.

Karmic: Ego plus Implacable Karma

Let’s look at applying trust in the karmic loading case.

In the karmic loading case, we can’t do much to rid ourselves from it. We can diminish it but have it gone from the human machine within a few minutes is not quite in the realm of our effective capacity.

So here goes trust. With trust we accept those anxious pending doom feelings, the onset of panic, in a mindful way, feeling it, observing the movement of feeling, the waves of it. Then not resist or fight it, trust in the Law having sent it to us for us to pay some debt, for us to learn a valuable lesson, for us to work more, for us to be more conscious, for us to become more understanding with others, for us to temper our endurance, for us to learn how to not identify with feelings and sensations etc.

Trusting that it is for the best, the Law is in it, the Being is in it, and that what has a beginning has an end. To pay karma is for our best. Once it is paid we are free from it.

With panic we think we are going to be in enormous trouble, but we never do get into it, things usually turn out alright. We can trust in that too, that reality is kinder than anxiety thinks, it may feel awful but we are not going to be crushed or stoned alive.

Normal: Ego

In the case of no karmic loading, trust is applied in the sense trusting in life, in the work or goodness of others, in our essence, in our Being that our essence and our Being will help us get through the apparently difficult circumstances that are coming. But mostly don’t come, they only really come when we have done something objectively wrong.


In the case of no karmic loading, we can jump aggressively on that ego. Convincing it with trust that things will be ok. Things are ok already even. In a short time things will normalize and be ok again. We have to get that essence trapped inside that ego to see outside of it’s own bottle. That sometimes even requires making the unacceptable the acceptable.

It could be me next, we may think. Well, you and me both have gone through it before and if we havn’t done anything of strong karmic consequence lately, if it appears, we will get through it once again. This time quicker than before.

Such a Retard! - (3728)

Introduction

Have you ever said those words to yourself: "Such a retard!"?

I have, a good few times already. Daah! 😳👶

It's good to recognise and accept that we're a retard in certain areas. That means we are still not totally lost to the delusion of our arrogance and the fantasy of our false self.  

There are some things that we are so beHind in. I mean like pre-school behind. 😞

Sadly, we do find ourselves behind, and in truth I think that anyone who honestly works on themselves will find that there is really much to correct. Usually It is the sleeping people who believe that they have nothing to fix, or if they know something is wrong they don't feel like fixing anything. 

Our job is to convert retard into conscious, experienced and learned - i.e wisdom. 💪

Just something else, if we see thAt we are a bit retarded in some common areas and unexpected areas even, we can accept that others can be also, and therefore not be so critical of theM. Makes sense doesn’t it? 

Side Note

An interesting side note is, that it's no problem for us to call ourselves a retard, but if someone else says it, it can offend, of course it depends on who says it, but it defintely does not hAve the same effect as when we tell it to ourselves. Why? Because we take someone else saying that as more real! 😡

So from the work point of view if someone says you're a retard, our job is to convert that high charge of energy as efficiently as possible into real self-discovery and real change. Self-compassion blocks efficiency it uses up the impactful energy in being offended and all down about it. You feel furious you were called a retard, great mate, get furious about correcting it.

Retarded

Anyway that aside, back to being a retard.

So for sure we are retarded in certain areas of life. For example, people who can't say no are retards in those lessons of life, those who are so easily offended, those who can't talk to others, those who cry all the time 😢 etc. etc. are behind in the lessons of life. 

I'm behind in a few lessons of life, for sure. In many ways those retard areas characteriZe my personality. But until I don't accept that and begin by studying, I'm going nowhere. True I wrote study, study to give you knowledge, because self-knowledge is the bridge tO understand and elimiNate. 


When we are a retard, i.e. a late learner, to go straight to elimination does not help. Study is what we need first. STUDY! We need a solid base for elimination. No solid base, and elimination will only last one afternoon. 👻

Yeap yeap, so what makes us behind? The ego is just too big in that area, and we need to start learning.

Pain the Teacher

When an ego is big the only teacher is pain 👊, because nothing else is powerful enough to get through that big fat wall of the ego to reach our essence.

Besides learning the maximum we can from our painful lessons, we have to go back to basics in that area of life. Read some books about that area, begin with very elementary observations 👀 of the ego in that area and build it up on very solid foundations. 

Talk heaps to people who are not retards in that area. In my life, I personally don't care if they are Gnostic or not, if they have that quality that I don't have I talk to them, and tactfully and politely ask all sorts of questions to aid my knowledge and help myself understand more and better.

Reflect, analyse - get as knowledgeable as possible for that to lead to comprehension and discernment, showing the pros and cons of the ego, what is ego and what is essence in that area of life. 

Comprehension will allow us to be clear about why we should change and that why, us wanting to change, have to change our way of thinking and later dissolve that ego. 💀     

Conclusion

Ok if we find ourselves saying: "I'm a retard". That's great news. Totally positive. The next step is just as important and it is to study - i.e. get conscious of where we are retarded, why, how, when etc. Start off with the basics. Go slow, gently but very firmly!

Our Attention: Gathering, Focussing and Its Power - (5260)

Our attention on ourselves is more vitalising then a cold swim, then superfood and multi-vitamins.

If we gather all of our attention, focus it on soemthing - an ego, a problem, a yearning, a practice, our attention will bit by bit come up with the keys, the discoveries, the revelations, the innovations, the remedy, the solutions needed to step up an octave. It will also produce the intensity needed to break through to new levels.

Focussed cat, give me some dinner please he's saying. This guy can eat. 

That's the power of human attention. Attention comes from our consciousness. Attention is a channel for our consciousness to work. That's where we fail in our work many times because we don't gather enough attention or we don't focus it or we don't sustain and give it enough time for our consciousness to work to reveal us the keys, information, wisdom etc. so needed.

Touched by Mystery - (3725)

For sure Master Samael's life was continually touched by mystery.

Many people have their lives touched by the mystery have been transformed by it. 

The mystery of nature, of our consciousness, of life, of our essence, of our soul, of our inner Divinity is the new, the unknown, the special, the renewing, the transforming, the healing, the ultra nourishing...


At our level its not bad at all to touch a bit the mystery.

When we meditate and get the mind quieter we are tpouching the mystery, going into the heart temple we are touching the mystery, being in the moment we are also touching the msytery of life etc.

The marvellous things we feel when we go into the moment, go the heart temple, get the mind quieter is always because of the mystery touching us.

So touched by the mystery means just to experience something outside of our mind and affections.

Mantralise Externalise and Internalise - (3727)

Start by vocalising out loud and certain levels of the mind quieten and vibrate with the mantra. Yet other levels no way are in agreement with joining in with the vibration.

Then take the chanting internally. Chant mentally. That then gets those other levels to follow suit. They feel the pressure of the vibration taken now more internally. We have to be patient, it takes some time but persisting pays off. 


I remember something from Yogananda's autobiography where he spent five hours in the temple of Kali meditating to receive an experience with the Divine Mother. Things take time.

Dejavu - (3726)

The feelings of dejavu are like a feeling of continuity.

Moments in time and space where we find ourseves once again feeling and thinking the same as we did back then. In the future we will find ourselves again the same person as we did in previous moments of dejavu.


Dejavu is a demonstration of the consciousness of the eternal now where the present, the past and the future are in the now.

Real Calm Spot Photos - (3716)

Special Spots

Just on a lighter note now. Taking a break from the fantasy posts.

I think we all have to have our special spots where we for some reason, who knows why feel so calm. So suddenly at peace, more alert and just overall well. A place where we can really relax and let our nervous system replenish itself. The better we can relax and feel at ease the better and quicker we calm, heal, repair and charge up our nervous system which certainly has benefits for us.

To have our nervous system frayed, tired, exhausted puts us on edge, makes us nervous and we begin to believe that we can't keep all this up. We are so easily annoyed and just want to sleep or run away. 

Suprisingly these spots are not: Lake Como, the Swiss Alps, a deserted island, the Rockies, Gibraltar,  the red dusty outback, Nepal, the Sahara, Mount Kilimanjaru, etc.

A Few

Here are a few of mine.

This Tree on Canning Highway has something about it, whenever I walk past it (slowly has to be slowly in a rush one does feel it) every morning to the bus stop, such a calm and alertness washes over me and soon as I get a little distance from it, the effect dissipates. I remember one monring I was in a state, and when slowly walking past it I noticed such a contrast. To spend a few miniutes under its boughs was such a balm. 

Hope they don't cut it down. It is special.

Just sitting on the floor looking out in front of the fire place is another. On the floor, making contact with the ground, rock bottom, supported by Mother Earth, that's all that one needs.


This stretch of the path at Trigg. Same effect as the Como Pub tree. Maybe the pine trees or the wide vista and the Indian behind. Don't know but it works. I've untied a few aching internal mental and emotional knots while sitting and walking up and down there like a pacer.


Up here at Kings Park. Just the wide and high vista calms the mind. Allows the perception of vastness and emptiness to enter the mind which quietens it and like heals it from its detailed and narrow jails.


Practical Part

Whenever needing some help to feel a bit calmer, clearer, alert, at peace and more deeply reflective, visiting your spots is not a bad idea. Well worth it, if you can.

Keeping Continuity: Six Hour Snapshots - (3710)

My idea is that consciousness is to be continuous. In reality though it waxes and wanes. How big a difference there is between the waxing and waning is up to us. Of course, we don't want huge gaps between the two. We would like to close any huge disparities.
 
Here's a practice to try and keep the continuity going and reduce those lagoons of sleep and forgetfullness over the duration of our day. One day is a mini life. If we keep doing this for a day we will extend it to our whole life. Then beyond our life after death. 

The idea is to use the intervals of 6 hours. Maybe if you manage it, you can try 4 hour intervals or even two. The narrower the interval the more difficult it becomes to do it in one day and more importantly the hugely more difficult it is to keep it up long term. Even try 12 hour intervals for long term maintenance to start. 

Going by six hour intervals we have 11pm, then 5am then, 11am then 5pm. You can chose any starting point that works for you.

So at the starting point we consciosuly find ourselves, we go into self-remembering, we are our essence and then project forward with our imaginaton to find ourselves by exactly the same method in six hours time. In six hours time we are going to consciously find ourselves again as the same conscious person and then in another six hours the same and so on and so on. Until it becomes a natural and instinctive thing. We have to make being conscious instinctive and natural.

Before driving into the garage, stop, settle, no thoughts, find oneself, be conscious - start.


Wake up, shake off the sleep, recollect the moment at 11pm where we found
ourselves conscious, then go inside find ourselves again, project briefly to 11am.


The day is in motion. Much more difficult. Stop, recollect the moment at 5-6am,
find oneself again then project to 5pm.

Day is winding down, getting easier. Breathe, stop, recollect the 11am conscious moment,
find oneself conscious again and briefly link to 11pm.  


This does not imply at all that we are always doing some work on ourselves being as conscious as we can and working on the ego here and there where we can during our day and night. It is just something to keep a semblance and a bit of real organised continuity of consciosuness throughout our day that will with hope become our life! Then after our life in the beyond!

Proud Pride, Proud Anger, Proud Laziness, Proud Lust, Proud Greed, Proud Fear and so on - (3723)

If the P.P.P of a person is pride then their other egos will be like the title of the post. Proud anger, proud lust, proud fear etc.

Pride or the P.P.P sets up the other egos to work in their particular area because of pride or whichever the the P.P.P is. 

For example, greed in the area of money will be motivated to manifest for pride, and lust in the area of sexuality the same - contain strong undertones of the motivation of pride, so laziness and so fear etc.


Anger protects pride like all the time and we often get angry all due to pride.

We can have a lot of fear due to pride. Scared of the humiliation etc.

That proud lust is vain, competitive, looks for the best in matter etc. etc.

The proud laziness thinks: "you do it, I'm here too good to do it, my effort and energy is worthy of other things.".

The proud greed, wants more than others. Makes sure and checks that others don’t have as much, or don;t as much or can't know or have as much etc.

Elements Natural Suffering Guide - (3724)

Nature

Nature through Her elements has Her way of dealing with our sufferings.

Water as in a flowing river carries our sufferings away.


Fire as it rises and expands consumes and transforms our sufferings into cinders.

Air as in swift gusts of wind dissipates and blows our sufferings away.

Earth patiently crushes our sufferings, absorbing and diminishing them until they are of little effect.

Us

Each of us within our nature have these elements, and the abilities that these elements have to deal with our sufferings.

Most of this natural intelligence is programmed into our instinctive centre, and through our instinctive centre this intelligence operates.

By our star sign we have a natural tendency to lean towards on one or more of the four elements over others.

Have a check if this is true for you. Each start sign has an element.

The intelligence of water is to let go of suffering, let life flow and greet life anew, with a new inner state, flowing ever on like a stream. 

The intelligence of fire is to live the suffering intensely, living it all out, leaving it empty, leaving there no more to suffer. Done with that!

The intelligence of air is to blow it up, deal with it in the open air, see through it all in detail, know it thoroughly to the bottom honest truth, and then discard it to the wind. 

The intelligence of Earth is to patiently hold it, allowing reflection, which then allows transforming, assimilating and slowly adapting it into its nature. Overcoming it and changed/bettered for the effort of doing that. 

Duality 

As the elements can deal with suffering in their way, they can by duality retain and amplify suffering in their way also.

Earth signs often hold suffering for way too long where it festers. They often don't say anything and just grin and bear it for a long time. They are famous for holding grudges and resentment. This holding makes them angry and if they don;t transform it, they just explode, i.e. vomit it all out.

Those of the air speak out a lot, can be demanding in following out the line of the thinking to their mental satisfaction, they can also be so changeable like the wind with their thoughts, and can be swift and volatile like the wind with their word.

Those of fire can be dramatic, exaggerate, make a huge angry scene where they can go to battle head on. Jolt and hit a few people and suffer a lot especially when noble causes and actions are contravened.

The water, well they cry, tears, go silent, sending things down deep - feeling very hurt and but yet apparently ok on the surface. Like water they are sensitive and take things too deeply, instead of flowing it on.

Lose your Grip Regain your Grip - (3722)

An argument, a problem, a worry, etc. stuns us and we lose our grip on our work. 

This happens a lot especially in the best of moments in our work. 

What else to do but get a grip again.


Slowing down, leaving the surface and diving deeper into ourselves, setting our work priorities once again, dedicating a block of time to withdraw, are things that may help. 

Anyway our instinctive centre after a while gets to like the work and it will guide us and help us to get a  handle on our work again.

Sword or Pen, Journey or Destination - (3721)

Master M (Master Moria) in his book "Lord God of Truth Within" says that the pen is mightier than the sword.

I say the journey is more important than the destination. 


So for us doing our work or the work, we are journeying. And that is very important. The best part. The destination is just the journey ending itself.  

Why?

With an article you can incite a people to take up a cause in a short time. With a sword you can only do so much, before it turns against you. But with one article you can reach millions. Instruct thousands, leave inspiration for futures to come...

If the journey is ill, the destination will never be reached, the destination depends on the journey, the destination is just the last part of the journey. The journey is the destination. How you reach the destination, in what internal state depends on the journey. The journey holds you to the destination or makes you abandon it.

Fantasy Posts: Fantasy Counts Chickens Before they are Hatched - (3720)

Fantasy delights in 'counting our chickens before they are hatched'.

We do this in every area of life. Even in our esoteric work.

Dreaming about the results when we havn't even begun to work for them.

Picture taken at this morning's dawn. A moment to salute the sun/son of /in all of us. 

This can get so chronic that it can become the way we think about something or many things for that matter. Even our whole life can be thought about that way.

Which is off-skew because the results may not be that way, and what is more needy of our focus is the journey to the results. The journey is more important.

In other words when we do this we stop living the journey or even stop living the journey of our life and fall asleep dreaming away.

The fun stuff, the struggle, the blood, sweat and tears is in the journey and this type of fantasy denies us all that. Making us to skip over the best part straight to the static results.

A result is mostly always static. In fantasy or in thought a result is a platform or a kind of static status, not a dynamic living state of being or consciousness. Of course though a new journey can start after the result, with the new result being a stepping stone.

Don't Want Someone to do Something then Don't You Do it - (3719)

This helps us in our psychological work.

If someone is doing something that you really don't like, and say it hurts you, worries you, distresses you etc. then we must not do it ourselves. 

It may happen that we are doing that same thing. If we don't want them to do it then we can't feel that way (they shouldn’t do it) until we stop doing it ourselves.


Somehow in our sleeping state we think it is ok for us to do it, no one should be upset if we do it, but if another does it, it is really bad, wrong, upsetting and they should not do it.

Basically we are upset about it because we have not comprehended it in ourselves yet. We are still asleep to it!

No-Thinking and Heart Temple are a Refuge - (3718)

Don't forget that all of us in the work have somewhere to take refuge. 

Don't forget that!

One refuge is no-thinking and going to our heart temple. Another is the guru, another is nature, another is prayer to the inner Divinity, another is meditation, another is our consciousness, another is DEFINITELY NOT SELF-COMPASSION!

Sorry for that jolt, but it self-compassion doesn't help. We all know that too well. 


Be there in the heart temple talking to the Divine Mother or Father, opening the heart, explaining things and surrendering to them, what pertains to them, and taking force for what pertains to us.

In refuge, the essence beseeching through our heart wishes for strength and wisdom, this is what we maybe we can ask for and consciously seek in refuge.

We may not receive an answer but it is being processed in our background. It is being worked on by our interior Divinity.

Having previously built an image of our heart temple in our imagination helps us handsomely when in moments of psychological angst. It is a worthy investment of conscious imagination.

Fantasy Posts: Never Passive and Always Centre Stage - (3717)

Just an observation about fantasy.

One: we are always doing something in them, we are never passive.

Two: we are always centre stage.

Imagine a fantasy where we are passive observing someone else taking centre stage. 

As soon as we try, in a second or two, it stops being a fantasy - the driving force withdraws doesn't it?


To continue the imagining, that is with us being passive and someone else taking centre stage, we need our will to step in and drive it forward.

It becomes more imagination and will, then fantasy.

So the distinguishing line between the two: fantasy and imagination, is the driver. 

When it is egoic or conditioned will i.e. desire we have fantasy and when it is conscious will we have imagination.

Conscious will imagines for a reason, a reason that has its roots in reality. The ego fantasizes for a feeling, for a need, that is not real.

Fantasy Posts: Think of Someone without Fantasy - (3714)

Mate this is hard! You probably think this is a walk in the park. Just try it!

Think of someone and observe carefully the thoughts that follow. Are you sure they are total reality. They aren't are they? All fantasy! Well mostly! In the sense of old images, scenarios, the past, the future, ideas, plans, telling them things, 


A good key to dissolve these fantasies that arise when thinking of someone is to use duality and reality. For example, a good point arises then bring a bad point - use duality to balance. 

A conclusion here is that people are a major source of fantasy, or at least a major fantasy catalyst in our psyche. 

Well to work on fantasy bringing people to our mind is a good trick. It allows us to observe so many interesting things, right?

Fantasy Posts: Do we Really Need it? - (3713)

I'm making efforts to understand this deeply.

I find many instances where it is misleading, disappointing, a cause of suffering and imbalance etc. 

Imagination is a different to fantasy. Imagination we need but fantasy is not imagination.

I honestly don't as yet find an instance where it is needed, especially when we are all actually alive and live in a real world.

Instead of fantasy driven by the ego, imagination is helpful. 

Where where do we need it?

Nowhere perhaps? 

Reality is much kinder than fantasy. Much less stressful than fantasy. 

Have a try yourself - really try hard to find when and where we need fantasy.

When we do this exercise and we can't find an answer we receive a little conscious shock: "My goodness me what have I been doing with fantasy all this time?" Dreaming and being really asleep is the answer which is a step more towards awakening than answering the obvious: "wasting my time".

Fantasy Posts: Subconscious and Fantasy - (3712)

When working on fantasy we are working on our subconscious.

Fantasy is the subconscious projecting itself onto the screen of our mind.

Then there is us the free essence that gets curious about it or a little intrigued and then snap we're in it willfully participating. 

Don't want to participate? Simple, don't believe, don't buy into it. Specifically don't buy into the value it is going to give you, which can be the value of feeling great, loved, admired, a hero, an achiever, awesome, feared, sought after, scared, in pain, rejected, etc. because it won't give you any of those values at all - total mirage. Only the essence and work - facts gives you that.


Initially the fantasies fume out of the subconscious. That's the main reason why they are disconnected from reality, about desire and are disjointed and very stupid - absurd even - illogical because the subconscious is all of those things.

Subconscious obeys force and sometimes when just knowing that it is untrue does not help we have to get firm and be very tough with our psyche shouting inside our psyche saying that it is not true at all! Then  after some repeats or many repeats it starts to obey. The mind is a donkey but the subconscious is a king kong donkey, an aggressive one at that sometimes.

There's No Love in Expelling the Sexual Energy - (3715)


That is the hypnotic point of this theme, thinking that there is love in expelling the sexual energy. 

There is little love in such an action. To another human being or to one's own self. The Realer love is always about the essence, from the essence and to and for the essence in others and in oneself.

I'm not going to explain more, though if one carefully reflects one will see the truth of this point. In any circumstance that a person loses their sexual energy love is not present. This may seem like radical but look and analyse for yourself. And remember the sexual energy does not have to be lost to conceive children. There is the Kriya Shakti. 

Expelling the sexual energy logically creates a void and by the laws of Nature a vacuum is not a natural occurrence, Nature Herself abhors a vacuum/void and always causes something to fill that void. By the law of duality if one quality is not present the other opposite quality must be present, in its place. When fire leaves, coldness enters... Fire is love right.

Any Gnostic knows this but for the benefit of any new readers who have not come across the study of Gnosis as yet, here is this post.

Master Samael says that when a person loses their sexual energy millions of negative atoms together with  coldness enter the body impacting, agitating and energising a large negative atom every human being has located at the base of their spine in their coccyx.

An increase in negative atoms can not bring more light or love can it?

Use the Consciousness - (3711)

We have our consciousness so to use it. For sure we do, but sometimes we don't know how to use it or what to use it for.

The consciousness is a liberating agent. So here is the first and I would say major use: liberation.

I think the best use we can give to it, is to free ourselves from the mind and the ego. 


A second woderful use, is to use it to concentrate so that we can see, discern the deeper lessons in life and in our life's events. 

To use it we need to command our attention. To direct our attention and be able to keep it on the place that we need to shed light on or want to shed light on.
