The universal cosmic order of awakening is that we first work with negation. That is negating all the false and all that we are not.
Once the layers of false have been cracked and picked away unveiling who we truly are, we then need to work in affirming who we truly are.
That is why we start the work by dissolving the "I" - our false identity first, and then in affirming the Inner Being afterwards.
We can do this process with any psychological "I" that we are working on. We workin dissolving the conditioning of the value and affirm the value at the same time.
The start though is always dissolving the false - that is negating. Then affirming begins once negating has started.
It would be really silly to affirm the false, which is what we do in life all the time - constantly affirm the false and that is why we neither awaken nor change in normal life.
