I find that statement hard to deny - "Even God respects the Law".
It is mainly true because He is the Law, and as oneness to go against Himself would break the One and make Two.
So there we are with the facets of pride and the defect of pride thinking we don't have to respect the Law or we can be exempt.
Pride is a stubborn ego that does not wish to live out this point. Especially when seeing that reality is the Law.
