One Way of Looking at it
The work on ourselves is the work of self-discovery, self-knowledge
and self-realisation.
Self-realisation is the ultimate realisation of all the
conscious; values, attributes, powers and faculties of a human being.
It is also to live a conscious life, a fully conscious life,
fully aware of an integrated with our ultimate reality.
Conclusion
Ultimately self-realisation is the full development and
cultivation of the values, powers, faculties, consciousness, abilities, understanding,
functions of our inner Being or the Being within us, of which we are part of.
