Disclaimer – Not Mine Only Notes
I have to stress that these words are my notes only. The
thoughts and understanding behind them do not come from me but from the
terrific missionaries that lead the various activities during the retreat.
Self-Love
Our balance is in ourselves and not in other people. We though
give our ability to balance ourselves to others so that they can balance our
inner scale for ourselves.
Sense of Balance
The sense of balance is in ourselves, though because we are
so focussed outside and have a huge part of our centre of gravity outside of
ourselves we tend to have our sense of balance outside of ourselves. So then we
need others to balance that scale which has been wrongly put outside of
ourselves.
We need outside elements to balance something outside. But
to balance something inside we need inner elements to do it.
Pride
Pride is related to the values of dignity, majesty and the
sense of balance or justice of the Being. It is also related to the scale within
us. Therefore self-love is intimately related with pride.
Lust
Lust seeks ‘to be’, sexuality seeks to be part of the Being.
Sexuality is an instrument to seek to be part of the Being. However, lust does
it through matter.
