Have you ever been in that situation where you find yourself making all these efforts to help someone and in the middle of it all you ask yourself: "What am I doing? Why am I running around for this person I have barely any connection to?".
"I do not work for this person. They are not my family or friend. I am not getting paid for this and I'm not going to get anything back...They have done nothing for us before and I doubt they really care either?".
This is a really interesting situation. There is definitely a higher power at work and present for us to perceive and make contact with, if we choose.
Psychologically it is really good to discover why it is that we feel we shouldn't be helping. Is it a personality thing (different culture), selfishness, do we feel the situation unfair - we have given and now we are still giving, there has to be some kind of psychological reality behind that feeling.
The interesting thing is that even though we have that "what's going on?" inner protest, we are still running and helping.
There the reason is that we are acting as an agent of the good side of Karma. The Divine Law is moving us from above despite our uncooperative psychology to help.
When we help we see that there was an injustice that the divine Law was moving us to stop and compensate for.
It is always better to be an instrument of the good side of the Law than an instrument of karmic debt, making others suffer.
Sometimes it can be because of the Being of the person and the internal merits that the person has.
