How Knowing One’s Terrestrial Ray Can be Useful - (1176)

Perhaps the Terrestrial Ray is more Useful

Perhaps knowing the terrestrial ray could be more useful that knowing the cosmic ray.

For an explanation of both rays see the following post:

Though to save you some reading, the cosmic ray in short, is the cosmic principle and function that one’s inner Divinity or Real Being emanates and fulfils, giving one’s own inner Being characteristics, powers, faculties, knowledge, wisdom etc. related to that ray or cosmic principle. There are many cosmic rays. Of the many there are: force, law, death, medicine, wisdom, love, art, politics, life, etc.

The terrestrial ray is the house of initiatic mysteries that one’s inner Being develops Itself within. There are seven, which had their maximum expression in physical manifestation at various times and locations on the face of the Earth. The seven are: Lemurian, Atlantean, Egpytian, Oriental, Greek, Aztec and Mayan.

Some people have asked where does Christianity fit in and what about Western Esotericism. I’m actually not too sure, perhaps these seven terrestrial rays have to do with the sub races of this root race and Christianity, Western Esotericism (Medieval Alchemists, Theosophy: Blavatsky, Steiner, Leadbeater, Gurdjieff, Gnosis: Master Samael) are of the various Masters and their missions, and the help given to humanity by the white lodge.

In one ray of light there are seven rays of coloured light - the 7 colours of the spectrum. Perhaps an allusion to
the seven terrestrial rays, which are also rays of light as they express the mysteries.

Why?

If one knows their terrestrial ray, they will naturally have an affinity for the way the teachings and mysteries are expressed in that ray and an affinity for the teachings, practices and mysteries that are taught in that ray. Not all the rays have the same practices, techniques and knowledge.

Knowing one’s terrestrial ray is an advantage because one can then go to study the teachings of that ray and use that natural affinity to one’s advantage. Which will allow one to learn the teachings a lot quicker and make their absorption naturally quicker and deeper.

If one Has worked in those mysteries in the past there are small packets of consciousness waiting to be released by us. Those packets of conscious are the ones that were developed or awakened in those teachings and by those teachings in the past and they are waiting now to be reactivated.

These small packets of consciousness manifest as sparks of insight and understanding about the esoteric teachings.

Studying those teachings can reactivate certain memories as well as those small packets of consciousness.

If one develops those mysteries again one can serve as a magnet to help those who belong to those mysteries or were in those mysteries before.

Study from All The Rays

All the rays have much to offer us if we study them. We all belong to a ray and it is not advisable to become stuck in one's ray. It is very helpful to study one's ray to better under oneself and how to develop and sublimate that ray in practical life.

Master Samael is our intelligent guide. He is the master of the synthesis, he studied from all the rays and presented the teachings using the ways of all the rays.

To become stuck in our ray could mean a kind of fascination with ourselves which could somewhat limit our perception. Not everyone sees things from the same perspective and everyone has different needs within the spectrum of spiritual development.

End (1176).

  2. What would be the difference between the Mayan and Aztec rays? I am familiar with the book Aztec Christic Magic but is there a book that corresponds to the Mayan mysteries?

Attention with Mind, Attention with Essence - (5197)

These two attentions are different. Attention with the mind tires the brain. and reduces the flow of life into steps, where it is inevitable that the narration of the mind begins to take over. With the awareness of steps comes a certain tediousness and the feeling of the flow of life leaving us behind. With the attention of mind very little of what's behind events comes to us... Attention with the essence brings the power of presence, in other words brings a certain depth and continuity of flow  Attention with the essence doesn't tire or strain and opens doorways into perceiving what is behind events and the thoughts and feelings that appear within us. It allows us also to flow with the flow of life, which is a pleasant feeling. Conclusion, make the essence bring attention to outer and inner life. End (5197).

The Sacred Substance Askokin - (962)

Introduction In simple terms, the sacred Askokin substance is the result of the mercury and the sulphur. It is the transmuted energy that crystallises to form the internal bodies (astral, mental and causal). In other words, it is the transmutation of our sexual energies. The Abrustdonis’ and ‘Helkdonis that Gurdjieff mentions in the excerpt below, taken from “Belzeebub’s Tales to His Grandson” are none other than the elements of mercury and the sulphur so spoken about in Alchemy. Excerpt on the Sacred Substance Askokin “I first learned that the destiny of beings arising on this planet of yours is chiefly to elaborate—by means of the process of their existence—the vibrations required by Nature for the maintenance of those former parts of the planet now called Moon and Anulios, when, do you remember, I became worthy personally to converse for the second time with His Conformity the then still Angel, but now Archan...

Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages. In this post, I have presented a few, that have come in handy at point or another. Just to give you a bit of context, the movie is about the crusades, where the French and English were trying to defend the “Holy City” – Jerusalem from Islamic occupation. The topic of religion and God is a constant theme in the movie. It is very violent though, matching it frankly, quite awful to watch. Your Soul is in Your Keeping Alone An interesting dialogue between the French appointed king of Jerusalem and French Knight, the protagonist of the movie. Note, the king wears that metal mask because he has leprosy. King Baldwin I...
