Knowing is Easier, Being is Harder - (1155)

Introduction

It is good sometimes to check how our ‘knowing’ and ‘being’ is going.

Equally Together

Ideally they should be developed equally together.

As we do not live in an ideal world and as we are not an ideal, we may develop one more than the other.

‘More Knowing’

To have ‘knowing’ more developed is great to help and teach others but it is an urgent point to remedy for ourselves.

When ‘knowing’ is more in us, one knows what is happening within oneself and one knows the remedy, yet due to the lack of Being which is action, one watches in despair seeing oneself sliding downwards, feeling incapable of correcting that course.

One commonly loses faith in oneself as one can not or does not live the advice and teachings that one gives to others.

‘More Being’

To have more being is once again wonderful for others in their interaction with us and as a practical way to teach others it is great. It is also great for our own inner well-being, yet it is a cause of suffering.

Because we lack ‘knowing’ we fall unknowingly into the constant trap of misplacing our values by overdoing the good, and putting them where they were not required.

This brings us into errors and karma and once again suffering.

Conclusion

Sometimes ‘more being’ protects and sometimes ‘more knowing’ allows us to avoid difficulty though, it is always best to develop them equally and use one or the other when reuired and called for and not just use one all the time. Because that brings imbalance and imbalance never faiuls to bring difficulties.

End (1155).
