Crunch Your Negativity Towards Others - (1926)

We All Want Positive But We Give Negative

We all want others to regard us positively. We even expect others to think of us positively. Even though this is unrealistic it would be fairer if we thought of others positively, but we don’t do we?

Why We Expect to be Thought of Positively

The reason why we expect and hope that others think positively of ourselves is because we actually think negatively of others and we find our own negative thinking towards them way too harsh, and we certainly don’t want that for ourselves.

Remedy

As soon as we fix up that negative thinking towards others, things change in us, we stop feeling awkward when with others and we drop silly expectations and we get hurt less and are less sensitive.

The Common Characteristic of the “Myself”

The characteristic of the myself is to always be thinking of charging people, harbouring something against, having ill-will against others, seeing people’s faults, wishing them tough times, disliking, rejecting and so on. Crunching the negativity is a big blow for the ‘myself’ because that is what it lives off.

This is due to the relativity and duality inherent in the ‘myself’. As the reference point for the ‘myself’ is other people it has always to think negatively of others in relation to the many different issues that involve us like fairness, importance, love, etc. Thinking negatively about others in relativity blows up the ‘myself’.

Pray

To pray for others is a beautiful thing and helps to cultivate positive thinking towards others as we in prayer will goodness for others. BUT we must eliminate this negative thinking otherwise it undoes all of our prayers. Actually I would say eliminate this negative thinking before praying for them.

End (1926).
