Introduction
Strange today seems to be a real
water day - posts about undines and mermaids and now one about the sexual waters.
Black Waters
We know that the human being has
the potential to produce in his or her sexual waters or in other words in his
or her sexuality certain degrees of change, purification and enlightenment. By
enlightenment I essentially mean degrees of understanding about how our
Divinity is related to our sexuality and how the state of our sexuality draws
us closer to the various degrees of realisation of our inner Divine Being.
The colours of the waters are many
the Alchemists say, though the four main colours are: black, white, yellow and
red.
I would like to dedicate this post
to the black waters. This is because we come to the work having our waters more
or less black and what we have to do is to transform them into the white
colour, married or single it does not matter. We have to do something.
If we can know or come to fully realise
and accept that we have our waters in the black state we can work with
dedication and intent to transform our waters.
Characteristics of the Black Waters
I think even when an essence
emerges from involution and takes a human body for the first time, that such a
human being has his or her waters in the black state. However at the level of
the black state that is closest to becoming white. A human being that has had
many sexual experiences and has developed many vices and has been loosing the sexual
energy for many years has his or her waters very black, that is blacker than
such an essence who has just taken a human body for the first time.
However now, going into this
matter, having our waters black affects us on many levels. The main characteristics
are that we are fairly cloudy or unaware or ignorant of our sexuality, we think
that it does not have any influence in our life and it does not have any affect
on our psychology and the centres of our human machine. With the black waters
we don’t even know our sexuality very well and when we try to understand more
about it and work on the egos of lust we feel very confused and find it very
difficult to understand them. Overall we are not very clear about sexuality at all, yet we are driven by it.
With the black waters we still have
vices and are attached to sexual sensations and emotions that come from the
activity or arousal of the sexual centre. With the black waters one only sees
sex as the sexual act and only sees sex with the senses and in matter. One with
the black waters can not imagine sex outside of the senses being pleased and intense
sexual sensations being felt. One with the black waters feels that one needs sex to be
focussed on the sensual and physical side of it, even the emotional romantic side of it as well. The spiritual side or esoteric
side of sex does not feature or exist for one with the waters black.
With the waters black in one, one
does not feel well within oneself, there is a constant unbalance, desire is
always present and there is the lustful perception always working in the
background. One feels prone to anger and frustration, and a kind of desire
rich, agitated fuel or energy runs through ones body. It is difficult to
concentrate and one is easily restless and one is not drawn towards the Being
in one, but more drawn to distraction of the senses.
Indications that we have Black Waters
The above paragraphs I feel can
give one a good indication of the state of our waters. However, there two other
ways in which one can know for sure about the state of one’s waters.
Dreams
If one dreams wearing black or
brown or dark coloured under wear, that is a sign that one has the waters black.
Note the colours of the waters can change depending on the quality of our work.
One may dream about a pond or a
pool of water and see the water of the pond black or putrid with dead fish and
full of excrement, that is a clear sign that we have our waters black.
In general, seeing the colour black
in a scenario that has elements of sexuality in it is a clear sign that we have
our waters black.
Sexual Act
If we during the sexual act in the
Alchemy, we forget the Being, and only think about and focus on sensations and
emotions as the 'be all and end all', then we have the waters black. If we can not
control our sexual organs or we can not control our motor centre we have our
waters black still. If a man loses his sexual energy because he can not
control his mind, his waters are still black.
With the white waters one comes to
control, balance and make calm one’s whole system. A harmony exists and one can
quieten their mind during the sexual act.
Key to Turn Black to White
The key is the yearning for the Being.
One must use one’s sexuality with yearning in our mind and heart for our Real
Being. This is a conscious act and it is one that is focussed away from the
senses and the sensations and onto one’s inner Real Being. This is to make sex
spiritual.
Using the sexual energy with this
up and inward focus permits the sexual energy to be transmuted and sublimated
and this changes the colours of our waters. It also makes us more and more conscious
of our sexuality (because this practice must be done in a state of alertness) and
it will allow us to control our sexuality and come to realise that sexuality
has the ability to take us closer and closer to our Being and that we are the
only one’s that are responsible for using our sexual energy in a way that takes
us closer or more distant from our Being.
