From One Life to the Next
Oh God! What happened after we fell in the past? We walked,
and walked and walked from one life to the next...
Always looking for something…
Looking for precisely that which we had lost, but alas, we
were not even able to remember what it was that we had lost…
Such is the cup of the forgetfulness...
Such is the cup of the forgetfulness...
Our immortal and Divine inner Being, was what we had left behind for
some reason…
So we walked and walked, travelled and travelled, drifted
and drifted as a kind of consolation hoping that our travelling would take us
to encounter that which we had lost. Perhaps some new and kind fortune would
befall us and miraculously bestowing upon us what we had lost.
Perhaps we hoped to encounter a mysterious old sage, a temple, a mysterious cave, the
magic of the mountains, oceans and forests…
But karma would not have it that way…
And so even now we can catch ourselves walking; feeling that
solitude of 'being without' – this is a remembrance and also a sign that we are still
lacking much of what we had left behind.
This 'being without' can only be filled by that which we
had fallen away from: our inner Divine and Immortal Being.
In our walking and walking we feel that our movement is like
progress and even though it clears our head, exercises our body, orders our mind, we still deeply yearn for that which we lack…
Though thanks to Gnosis we now know what it is that we
deeply lack…
Fellow Men
The many fellow men and women who live on the streets walk continuously,
travelling and drifting from one spot to the next, with all their possessions in a shopping trolley or a bundle, immersed in a state of
restlessness and constant searching for the North of their inner compass, which
alas, can only arise from inside of one, from the Inner Being, once of course the Lords of the Law
allow it.
Those even though they lack their inner Being, and are
relatively on good terms with their fellow man and have their karmic accounts in
relatively good order, enjoy some peace in their interior, and are safe and happy in their homes
at night while some of their fellow men on the streets wonder from one spot to
the next looking for something... never finding it, except for trouble that distracts them from their
restlessness, the restlessness of the soul that is, that can not be soothed
until it receives the balm of that which it had lost contact with…
But it is good still to walk for our health and to order the mind... but no longer thinking we are going to find something that we in Gnosis already have...
The Walking can Stop and the Working Start
Once we know what we are really yearning for deep down - our inner Being - and we understand that it is only our inner Being that can fill that deep yearning, we can stop walking and start working. But it is good still to walk for our health and to order the mind... but no longer thinking we are going to find something that we in Gnosis already have...
End (2454).
