Significance of the Topic of the Seven Stones to Us – (2402)

Future – Esoteric and Psychological

The topic of the seven stones may at first seem to be something totally far fetched as we find ourselves far from actualising it. None the less it is still worthwhile making an effort to understand the topic. The benefits of understanding it a little better, appear to us on two fronts.

These two fronts being the esoteric and psychological.

Esoteric

Knowing that the Monad of a human being can work to obtain the first stone, then throw that first stone and later reiterate it to achieve the second, and then repeat that five more times to finally arrive at the seventh stone tells us a lot about the possibilities of our Monad and Its future.

Obviously a Monad can only throw the stone whilst in creation, and the greater the number of stones the quicker it takes to reiterate a new one.

Obviously too, that each time a Monad reiterates a stone it fulfills a certain mission related to helping humanity.

It seems fair that a Monad would want to reiterate the stone several times. Because each time it does so, humanity is helped, a mission is fulfilled and the wisdom, and power of the Monad increases. Plus it could tell us that this Monad will also be active in the future, that is in future races and rounds perhaps.

Psychological

A person may be scared that their Monad would want more than the number of stones that it has achieved in the past. For example, a Monad may be working to achieve It’s third stone and It may want more than that, and the person may perceive that and that may produce a fear in the person. Because it means for that person to be in creation once again asleep and loaded full of ego with the suffering and karma that comes with that.

Knowing that a new stone can be gotten by a descent helps that fear to subside as well as knowing that later stones can be obtained much quicker than the previous ones, also helps. Also knowing that after each stone the Monad shines more brilliantly in wisdom and power than before, also helps.

Understanding that we are just the vehicle of a Being, also helps. We do not have much choice and to fear and resist, is just pain, to co-operate is always the best and is the end of psychological suffering and the fear that accompanies this suffering.

The topic of the seven stones helps one to make this fear subside, and consequently it allows one to surrender more to one’s Being, as well as to expand one’s perspective of the work of the realisation of the Monad and Its will.

Conclusion

In short, this topic addressed in the retreat is very helpful as it diminishes substantially the fear that a person can have towards the realisation of the Being and the somewhat 'futility of it all', that can be felt, due to the wrong belief that a Being may work hard to win Its realisation then throw it again. A Being may do this, and if it does do this, it does this for a reason, and that reason is clearly explained in the topic of the seven stones.

End (2402).

Attention with Mind, Attention with Essence - (5197)

These two attentions are different. Attention with the mind tires the brain. and reduces the flow of life into steps, where it is inevitable that the narration of the mind begins to take over. With the awareness of steps comes a certain tediousness and the feeling of the flow of life leaving us behind. With the attention of mind very little of what's behind events comes to us... Attention with the essence brings the power of presence, in other words brings a certain depth and continuity of flow  Attention with the essence doesn't tire or strain and opens doorways into perceiving what is behind events and the thoughts and feelings that appear within us. It allows us also to flow with the flow of life, which is a pleasant feeling. Conclusion, make the essence bring attention to outer and inner life. End (5197).

The Sacred Substance Askokin - (962)

Introduction In simple terms, the sacred Askokin substance is the result of the mercury and the sulphur. It is the transmuted energy that crystallises to form the internal bodies (astral, mental and causal). In other words, it is the transmutation of our sexual energies. The Abrustdonis’ and ‘Helkdonis that Gurdjieff mentions in the excerpt below, taken from “Belzeebub’s Tales to His Grandson” are none other than the elements of mercury and the sulphur so spoken about in Alchemy. Excerpt on the Sacred Substance Askokin “I first learned that the destiny of beings arising on this planet of yours is chiefly to elaborate—by means of the process of their existence—the vibrations required by Nature for the maintenance of those former parts of the planet now called Moon and Anulios, when, do you remember, I became worthy personally to converse for the second time with His Conformity the then still Angel, but now Archan...

Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages. In this post, I have presented a few, that have come in handy at point or another. Just to give you a bit of context, the movie is about the crusades, where the French and English were trying to defend the “Holy City” – Jerusalem from Islamic occupation. The topic of religion and God is a constant theme in the movie. It is very violent though, matching it frankly, quite awful to watch. Your Soul is in Your Keeping Alone An interesting dialogue between the French appointed king of Jerusalem and French Knight, the protagonist of the movie. Note, the king wears that metal mask because he has leprosy. King Baldwin I...
