Jealousy is an anger at the third person or thing and a
resentment at the person whom we feel is betraying or abandoning us.
Jealousy brings to a person the emotional setting of competition and rivalry in relation to the person or thing that is external to the relationship, and a kind of distrust with the person whom we are in a relationship with.
