Rejecting Lust and Sex - Not So Wise? - (1807)

Introduction

We have to think carefully about this point. Lust and sex are separate. Sex does not need lust and is not dependent on it. But lust uses sex.

The right attitude is the centre. Rejection is not at the centre. The goal is balance.

Sexuality is a part of life, it is not our whole life, but an aspect of it. Sexuality should be integrated harmoniously y into the overall goal of our life which is the harmony and balance of the spiritual and human.

When a person makes sex everything or the main thing in their life then they are out of balance and will become ill or will have problems and difficulties coming their way soon. Even one can make sex the whole of their life by rejecting it just as easily as they can by rolling in it.

Rejecting

The normal way of working on lust is to reject it. However, in time that proves to be the wrong approach. Because the lust that we have been rejecting and suppressing springs back with the same force that we have been rejecting it with. This force that lust comes back to us with can be overwhelming.

Rejecting is not comprehending. Therefore, rejecting is not on the way to becoming conscious. Comprehension is what is conscious and is what liberates. The person who rejects wants to be free, but is going about it the wrong way.

The one who rejects becomes fearful and introduces terrible battles within one’s mind. These battles inevitably take own further into the lust that they are trying to be free from.

Way Out

The way out is accepting first of all that one has lust. Then countering it with conscious means. Trust implicitly in the means of your consciousness to counter it. Observation, conscious awareness, not feeding it, not identifying with it, not believing in its proposals, arguments, ideas, reasoning. If we are serious we will see for ourselves that so much of what lust says is not true at all. All its promises are not true, pain results and lasts many times longer than the pleasure that it provides.

Dialogue the Essence Trapped in Lust

Talking to the essence trapped in lust is an interesting way out. We can see through our dialogues with that essence trapped in lust that it is not us, that is something separate to us and that it lacks knowledge and trust in the true sexuality and is ignorant. Our dialogue does not praise it or love it but educates it, hears and learns of it reasoning and contrasts it against the logic of the teachings and of true sexuality. This dialogue is best down when an ego of lust is in the human machine, otherwise it is not so real, the danger of mental projections is rife.

Practising Alchemy but Rejecting

People sometimes practice Alchemy and then develop a rejection for it. This may be due to lust. Their lust appears and their capacity to concentrate or separate it falters and so within a bit of time they feel low (a bit defeated), terrible mental struggles appear, people become fearful of lust, and their system begins to get tired of lust and they feel like they have had enough and say forget Alchemy.

Everyone is free to think, feel and do as they please. The tool to save and free us is the psychological work and the Alchemy. To stray from the Alchemy is not such a wise idea.

A Question of the Intelligent Use of Time

The problem mentioned above can be countered quite effectively taking into account the very important factor of time. When the time of practice or descent into the ninth sphere is too long things can go awry.

The duration of descent must be shortened for the time one can remain separated from what bothers them. Then begin to increase the time as one increases one’s concentration and capacity of separation etc.

Remember Lemuria

Remember Lemuria, the whole disaster boiled down to duration. Humanity was give the Kundabuffer for too long. If it was removed earlier things would be very different we are told.

End (1807).

Attention with Mind, Attention with Essence - (5197)

These two attentions are different. Attention with the mind tires the brain. and reduces the flow of life into steps, where it is inevitable that the narration of the mind begins to take over. With the awareness of steps comes a certain tediousness and the feeling of the flow of life leaving us behind. With the attention of mind very little of what's behind events comes to us... Attention with the essence brings the power of presence, in other words brings a certain depth and continuity of flow  Attention with the essence doesn't tire or strain and opens doorways into perceiving what is behind events and the thoughts and feelings that appear within us. It allows us also to flow with the flow of life, which is a pleasant feeling. Conclusion, make the essence bring attention to outer and inner life. End (5197).

The Sacred Substance Askokin - (962)

Introduction In simple terms, the sacred Askokin substance is the result of the mercury and the sulphur. It is the transmuted energy that crystallises to form the internal bodies (astral, mental and causal). In other words, it is the transmutation of our sexual energies. The Abrustdonis’ and ‘Helkdonis that Gurdjieff mentions in the excerpt below, taken from “Belzeebub’s Tales to His Grandson” are none other than the elements of mercury and the sulphur so spoken about in Alchemy. Excerpt on the Sacred Substance Askokin “I first learned that the destiny of beings arising on this planet of yours is chiefly to elaborate—by means of the process of their existence—the vibrations required by Nature for the maintenance of those former parts of the planet now called Moon and Anulios, when, do you remember, I became worthy personally to converse for the second time with His Conformity the then still Angel, but now Archan...

Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages. In this post, I have presented a few, that have come in handy at point or another. Just to give you a bit of context, the movie is about the crusades, where the French and English were trying to defend the “Holy City” – Jerusalem from Islamic occupation. The topic of religion and God is a constant theme in the movie. It is very violent though, matching it frankly, quite awful to watch. Your Soul is in Your Keeping Alone An interesting dialogue between the French appointed king of Jerusalem and French Knight, the protagonist of the movie. Note, the king wears that metal mask because he has leprosy. King Baldwin I...
