Consciousness is About Identity
If we can manage the value of identity in ourselves we are
going to earn a good grip on our consciousness.
Careful and Intense Observation
Observing our mind intensely and carefully we will find our
general awareness and then we will see the thoughts from the various “I’s” that
we have surging out of somewhere (subconscious) into that space of awareness.
As soon as a thought appears we will know that it comes with
an identity, which is made up of a flavour that is derived from the nature of the
thoughts.
As soon as we identify that the identity coming along with
hat thought as us we are cooked. We then get identified with the “I” projecting
that thought and away we go thinking and feeling and perhaps acting.
Real Identity
You real identity is to be found when your mind is silent.
It is a silent spacious and conscious identity that has no strange flavour and
is no one, that is not one person or named thing.
End (1830).
