We Have Heard it So Many Times But it Hasn’t Sunk In
When a special moment comes along where one has to decide
between money and ethics or between money and one’s work or one’s inner Being
then one really has the best opportunity to understand this truth spoken about
so often!
Contrast
One may have the chance to take a good quantity of money but
at the expense of something! Always at the expense of something else. This
something else is usually the real thing that makes you happy. We think that
taking the money will make us happy, but you know and everyone else says that
it won’t. It seems as if it will but it won’t. The Being, ethics, living an upright
life, the joy, security and peace of upright conduct is what gives you
happiness!
This is maybe best known when we have to answer to God or
the Law when we die. Image you are there in front of the Divine Law and
contrast the two situations having taken that money at the expense of some of the
values of your own soul or not having taken that money and have kept intact the
values of your own soul.
Your own essence will answer that question instantly for
you!
Conclusion
This truth is something so simple and clichéd but very true!
The values of your own soul or money? Which has more value to you? One has a priceless
and eternal value and one has a relative value that crumbles in time and matter.
