Relaxation as an Effect or as a Power - (1819)

Introduction

This post is aimed at basically explaining the difference between a power and an effect.

Effect

An effect is when due to the environment, we can relax nicely and beautifully. By the river on a Sunday afternoon, not too cold nor too hot, with the water being still and the birds lightly chirping in the background and people leisurely and peacefully walking by. In this case our feeling of relaxation is an effect of the environment, and also some co-operation from inside of ourselves.

Power

But what about when we are in a market place, with lots of noise, people yelling and screaming and we have to move. We can still be relaxed. In this case, we would be aided by our own power to relax. Which is independent of the environment in which we are in.

A power is a capacity, and exists inside of oneself and comes from inside. Basically, a capacity of our consciousness, that enters or flowers in our consciousness by means of training. Where slowly as we train our own consciousness captures and assimilates the training into itself.

Conclusion

Gnosis teaches about powers instead of effects.

End (1819).
