How a Talisman is Made - (2563)

Charged or Condensed

A talisman is essentially made by condensed something magical into the base material of the talisman.

If the talisman for example, is a gold ring then the ceremony or rite that consecrates the ring, thus making it a talisman, is the activity that charges the ring with a certain force, energy, power or spiritual substance that gives it its magical properties.

A talisman can be made by either by charging as explained above or by condensing, where energies, substances and forces from a planet, an angel, an elemental are drawn into the ring.

Hebrew Magical Tradition

The Hebrew word for talisman is qamea which comes from the Hebrew qama which means to bind to to knot. The Hebrew word for talisman actually allows us to understand quite a bit about what a talisman is and how it is made.

So a talisman is also a link or a tie to some force, where that force could be am angel, a planet, the Cosmic Christ and the elementals of nature (salamanders of fire, the slyphs of the air, the gnomes of the Earth and the undines of the water). Talismans, magical rings, amulets, swords etc. have a rich history in the Hebrew magical tradition and there are many procedures that one can encounter within that tradition to consecrate talismans.

A consecration is essentially a link to a certain force, which in some way in certain instances constitutes a kind of membership or active office or status.

So once again the magical rite or ceremony is what makes a talisman magical and it is what gives it, its magical properties of protection and generating light, energy and certain qualities that our essence may need.

In the next post I will describe how talismans work for us.

End (2563).
