Overview
Once again this is also a
difficult topic, or at least one that is and has been hotly debated, especially
as to whether there is, or there is not a heaven.
Despite this many of the religions
maintain that there is a world beyond this one, where there is Divinity and
there is the absence of pain and suffering. Gnosis too affirms that there are
the superior worlds and that these superior worlds or higher dimensions
constitute heaven.
There is a phrase in Gnosis that
says “there are degrees and degrees”. Heaven is no exemption, there are levels
and levels of heaven in the cosmos and also within us. Certainly, as it is with
the many other religions, it is the goal of someone studying Gnosis to first
come to know the heavens and later transform oneself so that one’s nature is
compatible with the heavens, thus making it possible to one day dwell there.
