This is the question, what effect do others have on us through the impressions they emit towards us?
Do they contribute to making ourselves feel comfortable with ourselves or think that there is something wrong with ourselves?
Love is a powerful force and polarised as hatred it is an equally powerful force.
The impressions of love from another causes us subconsciously and even consciously to feel good and comfortable within ourselves.
We can of course also send waves of love towards ourselves to our Inner Being consciously and voluntarily, to counter any negative impressions towards us.
The impressions of disrespect, disdain,. reprimand, superiority, constant criticism, harsh words and cold treatment even abuse cause us automatically and subconsciously to despise ourselves.
The strangest thing is that we don't notice that we are doing this to ourselves, we only see the anger, hurt and protest as a strong reaction.
When this despise of ourselves builds up it is uncontrollable and it spills out with great intensity, often in the form of hartred.
Within the logic of our subconscious we hate those that make us hate ourselves.
People generate hate those who expose their defects, for this same reason. People wouldn't mind when they are able to see their defects and be compassionate with themselves and correct the defect with dignity and self-respect.
We can correct others all we want though just in the process don't make them to feel something awkard or wrong about themselves. Then if we do that we are wasting our time and gaining an enemy for free.
The remedy is to be super alert and conscious to never allow ourselves to despise ourselves or think something is wrong. If there is something wrong pass that through our consciousness that will correct it edifyingly with dignity.
At the end of the day it is always our responsibility to transform impressions. We also have the right to remove ourselves from impressions that are difficult to transform to gather the force to go back and work on transforming new ones. Being aware of the process that occurs in us, makes transforming impressions a lot easier.
