Introduction
In this post I want to put forward a very sound reason why a
conscious control over our inner forces and impulses is necessary.
An Analogy
Whenever we cook something several ingredients and actions are
involved. There is heat there are spices, there is water, there is the main
food ingredient that we are going to eat etc.
In order for what we are cooking to turn out well we need to
be monitoring and controlling the whole process and all the actions taking
place or intervening in the cooking. That is, we have to control the heat, the
addition of ingredients such as spices and water and check constantly that
things are on the right track.
If we don’t do this the result is disaster.
The Same inside of Us
The same thing happens inside of us because we are a mixture
of minerals and compounds, energies, mind, emotions, psyche, egos, forces,
consciousness etc. We are more complicated and so more control is required over
the forces intervening inside of us.
If we Don’t Have Inner Control - Disaster
If we don’t have any inner control we end up as a disaster.
We end up as a burnt overcooked, unsightly and distasteful dish.
