Meditation is the Result of Our Day's Work - (1019)

More a Discipline

Meditation is more of a discipline than an isolated practice. A discipline means a work that that is done throughout one’s life and is incorporated into one’s life, and it affects one’s life and one’s life affects the practice of this discipline.

Our Day’s Result is Very Evident in Meditation

When we meditate at night or early in the morning what we have been doing during our day or night or the previous day is very evident.

Our actions good or bad during the day affect our meditation. If we have worked honestly, sincerely and extensively during the day our meditation will be very good, this is because our Being has been drawn closer to us or we have moved closer to our Being through the good end-result of the day, and so when we meditate it is a lot easier to quieten the mind because the peace, tranquillity, light and consciousness of our Being is more present, and that makes a huge difference to our meditation especially in contrast to the times when we have behaved badly during the day and our conscience weighs heavily and our mind is very worried and restless.

End (1019).
