Will is about Triumph - (1026)

Introduction

If we look at will, especially at the way it is exercised we will see that it is always exercised basically to triumph. Even if it is exercised negatively it is still used to attain some sort of triumph, that is the thing that we want to win in the negative sense wins (when the ego wants to triumph it uses will). Let’s see some examples.

We use will to reach a goal, to achieve something, to maintain a certain discipline, to train ourselves, to practice something, to destroy something, to heal something, to compete, to defeat someone or something, etc. etc. We always use it to win, defeat, maintain, whenever there is a battle of wills there is a battle for supremacy, it seems that whenever will intervenes it is to force something to be less than something else. So will is really there to make something triumph. Atman uses his will to triumph.

That is why Tipereth, the human soul (the will of Atman) is the one that fights and works while Geburah the spiritual soul is the one rests and plays. It has much to do with the inherent natures of these parts or attributes of the Being. Will is about work, struggle, application, fights so to triumph.

There are virtues that are more aligned to will (human soul) and there are virtues that are more aligned to consciousness (spiritual soul). Such as patience, persistence, tenacity, courage, fortitude, self-control etc. are aligned to will or the human soul, and discernment, wisdom, intelligence, consideration, peace, insight, foresight etc. are aligned with consciousness or the spiritual soul.

Even if won’t to be less we use will to stop various leader like elements in us from coming out and taking control and displacing the existing leader. We use will to be obedient, and when we are obedient the will remain obedient wins over the will to do one’s egotistical will.

Will is Commonly Used in Relativity and Duality

Will is basically using will in relativity and duality. The duality aspect is that there are two wills involved and relativity is that one will is must be more than the other.

We uncondition will from relativity and duality when we when we use will to conquer more of ourselves. Or ultimately when will emanates from the Being then it is unconditioned because it does not have to win over another thing ad there is no other factor involved but the Being.

Right Use of Will

The right use of will is to use it to conquer more of yourself.

The Virtues of the Higher Parts of the Sephirotic Tree Take Us to Possess More of Ourselves

If we look at the parts of the tree of life the further up we go we see that the values of each part are more and more of the Being and so the more we work or develop or incarnate these values the closer we get to tour Being.

Fifth Initiation – Initiation of Will Final Stroke Before the Victory of the Being

The fifth initiation of fire and light the fifth year of Job are critical and they come right before the various victories of the Being. Once the fifth initiation has passed the human soul is incarnated and as soon as the fifth year of Job is passed the Intimate Christ dies inside the person only to later resurrect and when He dies he takes all the egos to death with Him.

Conclusion

So once the area of will has been won by the Being, the Being has been won, because will is about Triumph.

End (1026).

Attention with Mind, Attention with Essence - (5197)

These two attentions are different. Attention with the mind tires the brain. and reduces the flow of life into steps, where it is inevitable that the narration of the mind begins to take over. With the awareness of steps comes a certain tediousness and the feeling of the flow of life leaving us behind. With the attention of mind very little of what's behind events comes to us... Attention with the essence brings the power of presence, in other words brings a certain depth and continuity of flow  Attention with the essence doesn't tire or strain and opens doorways into perceiving what is behind events and the thoughts and feelings that appear within us. It allows us also to flow with the flow of life, which is a pleasant feeling. Conclusion, make the essence bring attention to outer and inner life. End (5197).

The Sacred Substance Askokin - (962)

Introduction In simple terms, the sacred Askokin substance is the result of the mercury and the sulphur. It is the transmuted energy that crystallises to form the internal bodies (astral, mental and causal). In other words, it is the transmutation of our sexual energies. The Abrustdonis’ and ‘Helkdonis that Gurdjieff mentions in the excerpt below, taken from “Belzeebub’s Tales to His Grandson” are none other than the elements of mercury and the sulphur so spoken about in Alchemy. Excerpt on the Sacred Substance Askokin “I first learned that the destiny of beings arising on this planet of yours is chiefly to elaborate—by means of the process of their existence—the vibrations required by Nature for the maintenance of those former parts of the planet now called Moon and Anulios, when, do you remember, I became worthy personally to converse for the second time with His Conformity the then still Angel, but now Archan...

Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages. In this post, I have presented a few, that have come in handy at point or another. Just to give you a bit of context, the movie is about the crusades, where the French and English were trying to defend the “Holy City” – Jerusalem from Islamic occupation. The topic of religion and God is a constant theme in the movie. It is very violent though, matching it frankly, quite awful to watch. Your Soul is in Your Keeping Alone An interesting dialogue between the French appointed king of Jerusalem and French Knight, the protagonist of the movie. Note, the king wears that metal mask because he has leprosy. King Baldwin I...
