Forgetting Ourselves is the Antithesis of the “Our Father” Prayer – (1326)

Introduction

I could have just as well phrased the title of this post: “When we Remember our Being we fulfil the ‘Our Father’ Prayer”.

It just so happens that when we forget our Being or even ourselves, another word for ‘ourselves’ is our essence or consciousness, because that is what we really are: consciousness, we fall into the pits that the “Our Father” prayer tries to pull us out of.

When We Forget Our Being

When we forget our Being we feel like we are missing something, we are not quite fulfilling what’s required of our day, there seems to be something left incomplete, we even feel a little lost or disoriented, we are tempted to do evil, to fall into materialism, we focus on others and often come into conflict with others and register many psychological debts, etc.

Conclusion

The “Our Father” or “Pater Noster” is a very wise prayer, it explains our very sleeping human condition and it wishes to pull us out of it and at the same time it shows us the right way to love, to relate and conduct ourselves in accordance with our inner Divine Presence or Real Being.

Imagine it is like a code, in which enclosed in that code are the more important things to in order to relate in the best possible way to our inner Divine Real Being.

End (1326).
