Why Desire for the Being Doesn’t Fly – (1367)

Introduction

The following post is a snippet only of the notes that I took from a talk given by a marvellous missionary on desire.

General

All the egos have an element of desire. So to have a desire means to have a goal. So all the egos have a goal.

Desire controls and always wants more!

To possess is a strong factor in desire.

To use desire is not wise. Work out of yearning instead.

Desiring the Being No Go!

We have the idea that we are the Being and so then why can't we possess or have the Being we ask. We may have the Being then with desire we will want another Being because desire always wants more. In conclusion, we can not desire the Being. We can only be the Being or have the Being move through us and be present in us.

Instead of desire yearning is better and better still is working to be free of desire.

Desire is a downward force which engenders creation and causes the unfolding of the tree of life. To use desire in anything only causes trouble, it does not bring out good results it can't by its very nature, it can't because it is a downward force not an ascending force.

The force that should be used is yearning and only the essence and the Being yearns. The Being in us and the essence are the ones that ascend!
